Day by day

  1. Day 1 · Arrival in Dakar

    Welcome at Dakar airport and a transfer to your accommodation, in the spirit of Teranga. A first evening to settle in, feel the ocean city and meet your guide.

  2. Day 2 · Gorée Island, living memory

    A full day on Gorée Island: the boat crossing, sandy lanes and weathered, colorful houses, followed by a reflective visit to the House of Slaves and its Door of No Return. A powerful moment of memory and remembrance.

  3. Day 3 · Lake Retba, the Pink Lake

    An excursion to Lake Retba, the highly saline Pink Lake framed by dunes that stretch down to the Atlantic. Meet the salt harvesters and take in the wide-open landscapes, far from the bustle of the city.

  4. Day 4 · Northbound to Saint-Louis

    We head north toward the Senegal River and Saint-Louis, the former capital of French West Africa. Settle onto the island and take a first stroll along its quays in the light of the setting sun.

  5. Day 5 · Saint-Louis, heritage and river

    A full day in Saint-Louis: UNESCO World Heritage architecture, the Faidherbe Bridge spanning the river, and the lively Guet Ndar fishing quarter. Memory, culture and the local way of life by the water.

  6. Day 6 · Back to Dakar and departure

    The return road to Dakar, a moment to share impressions and take in final views of the Senegalese landscape. Transfer to the airport, carrying the memory of the journey with you.
